The Singletary Effect

To beat the pants off a man has never been taken so literally. As most of you have heard newly appointed 49ers head coach Mike Singletary was so heated during his halftime speach of last weeks game against the seahawks he dropped his trousers and told his troops they were playing like ass. To most in the non-athlete community this may come as a shock, the rest of us see it as another great moment in "coach implosion history". If you've played team sports for a while there's no doubt in my mind you had a coach that didn't just love the game, they stalked it even though the game already filed a restraining order. I got a few coach breakdown stories i could tell but my personal fav was Coach Roadpcap halftime speech @ hylton. Now mind you this was thier homecoming game and they had a few D1 prospects such as Penn State's Deon Butler so it goes without saying that we got dogged. We go in and halftime and Roadcap goes balistic, I don't remember the whole tirade but at one point he shouts "You guys are playing like your pee-pees are THIS BIG" and then he throws up the international small penis sign. I immediately turn to my boy E Hayes and we're both doing are best not to crack up.
